Here is the Ultimate Guide to the best Phoenix farmers markets to attend all year! Almost every time, my clients and I end up talking about food – who wouldn’t? Whether it’s a mama-to-be wanting to find new sources for healthy and organic foods to eat while baby grows, or a family making some lifestyle changes, I like to keep track of the most farmers markets recommended, so I can give them a few to check out in their area. Now, I’m sharing it with you, too! Keep your skin glowing, hair flowing and kids trying new foods by shopping your local markets (is it a bonus that you will be glowing for your family portraits, too? I think yes.)
First on our ultimate guide to best farmers markets in Phoenix, is one of the most-recommended farmers markets – Downtown Phoenix. The most accessible for its parking availability and weekly market! There is free parking in the Filmore parking garage, paid parking next to the market, and metered parking on the streets around the area. In other words, this market can be your ol’ reliable.
Open Saturdays
Yet another highly favored farmers’ market recommendation! Making it to the best Phoenix farmers market guide for its awesome schedule, the Uptown Farmers market is one to check out, for sure. Not only are there summer markets on Saturdays from 7:00-11:00am, but there are also Wednesday markets in the fall! Find local produce (of course), handmade food and handcrafted items. This is an indoor market in the summer (with some outdoor areas and dates), and an outdoor market in the fall. You can check if you qualify for home delivery, too. This is totally great news for those times when you have sick kiddos or simply too much on your plate to make a morning of it! Here are all the details!

One of the most-preferred markets, making it to the best Phoenix farmers market list, not only for the safe and inviting feeling, but also for their many different vendors and activities. Roadrunner Park has a playground, pond, swimming pool and soccer fields, making it a great place for a family day! Start at the market, and end with some fun at the park (or pool)! You will, of course, find the fruits and veggies you expect; you will also find “baked goods, honey, nursery stock, natural pork, beef and fish,” and hand crafted goods. Bonus points for it being puppy friendly, too. I love this one!

The best farmers market in Phoenix’s West Valley! The farmers’ market that truly keeps on giving! Enjoy a unique spin to the typical farmers’ market with rotating vendors every week. The Momma’s organic market includes local fresh produce and plant growers, food trucks and activities-of-the-week. Of course, you can find local food and artisan makers’ booths there, too!

7780 W. Arrowhead Towne Center, Glendale – Dillard’s
**Surprise Farmers Market floats between the Glendale Farmers Market and the Arrowhead/Momma’s Organic Market. Occasionally, the Surprise Farmers Market will return to the City of Surprise. Keep up with their updates to see where they are this week!
A newer farmers market in a smaller community near Buckeye and Surprise – Sun City Festival. Find local growers and food vendors, as well as plenty of family activities and food trucks. Check it out when it’s open!

Another one of best Phoenix farmers market, for fall! Find different vendors every week for produce, plants, food and artisans. Don’t forget to check up on which family activity is planned for the market this week, and stop by a food truck to try something new or have some of your favorites!

An annual farmers market in Peoria located at Journey School of Peoria. You can look forward to this spring market every year! One of the best Phoenix farmers markets to support the community and great for kids. They round up family and local businesses, art and animal experiences, and specially planned events around the school. You can find them using #JourneySchoolMarket

A newly-announced year-round market in the beautiful Verrado, Buckeye that of course makes it one of the best farmers markets in Phoenix! You will find organic and seasonal veggies, fruit and seeds from our local growers and ranchers. And, my personal favorite find, fresh, local eggs! Of course, here you can also enjoy local food truck foods, organic foods, raw honey, local jams and plenty of other food products from your local businesses.

Tempe Farmers Market
The perfect, simple daily farmers market you need is out in downtown Tempe! Find your “basic groceries,” locally sourced fruit and veggies, specialty Arizona products and vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and other specialty diet options. They’ve also got you covered for treats to enjoy while you shop and explore, or take home. Some of the goodies you can find here are organic smoothies, fair trade coffee and tea, paninis and vegan deli foods!

If you’re looking for the essential farmers’ market for local food producers, this is the place to be! Connect with local growers for organic and pesticide-free fruits and veggies; then find natural pork, beef, fish and free-range eggs from your local food producers, too! Plan a trip here for seasonal items like cider, apples, and flowers. Don’t forget to grab some other goodies like cheeses, artisan breads, jams and tamales before you head home!
