A perfect and classic tradition no matter your age, a corn maze in Phoenix, AZ is a can’t-miss opportunity this fall. There are so many types of corn mazes, both spooky and fun, and you can find a great option for your kids (and yourself) from this list of annual mazes around the valley metro and beyond – helloooo fall break getaway!
This list is broken down by location and includes links directly to each site where you can purchase tickets, see photos and check dates before making the trip. You’ll find corn mazes of all sizes, designs, and themes in and around Phoenix, Arizona. Haunted corn mazes are included! These are great for your tweens and teens, and even your spooky-loving little ones. On the flip side, there are mini-mazes that are great for kids to tackle on their own and short enough for limited attention spans, if that’s what you need. These first mazes are within Phoenix metro area, both east and west valley.
Although a touchless experience for the haunting and haunted and not made of corn, this fear maze requires ducking, squeezing and feeling your way through the hunt – I mean haunt – for a fully-immersed experience. Fear Farm recommends kids over 12 years old enter their maze. the Field of Fear Maze is open late September through early November with varying ticket prices including the ability to skip the line. For just the month of October, this Phoenix corn maze turns ghoulish at night in the Field of Screams. Fridays and Saturdays between 7 and 11pm, find your way through a touchless haunting corn maze. It is suggested for 13 years old and up. Tickets are available individually or in a combination option for access to both the day and night versions of the maze. Touching is not permitted for the haunters or the haunted and costume masks and props will need to stay out of the maze. Find rules, pricing and purchase tickets on their website here. This annual “Cooler Days” 5 acre east Phoenix corn maze is a local favorite with an incredible design each year. Hours go as late as 10pm, and the maze is not lit up at night, so be sure to pack flash lights, glow sticks and charge your phones if you plan to enjoy the maze after dark. Open through early November, this is the perfect maze for the whole family to enjoy and with large group discounts, it makes for a great group trip destination. This local, family operated discovery farm may not have corn for their maze, but straw bales are just as fun! There are two mazes at Mother Nature’s Farm – one for toddlers and one for everyone else! As a parent, you know having a toddler-specific area is often a relief to avoid trampling big kids, too. Bring your own meal and snacks, or you can stop by the on-site food stand for snacks, drinks and meals and enjoy a shady picnic table and or grass patch to relax while you eat. With two locations, open Wednesday through Sunday, find a corn maze in Phoenix or Gilbert, AZ at Halloween Town. Okay, it’s actually another hay bale maze! This is the perfect maze for kids. Keep track of them, and even help them along the path if you’re not already walking it with them. This is a low-maintenance maze perfect for them to tackle before enjoying all the rest of the activities Halloween Town has to offer. This is a great budget-friendly option for a little spooky season fun, and while they do have a website, I recommend keeping up with them on the Halloween Town Facebook or their Instagram instead. An experience unlike any others in the valley, the makers of Desert Christmas Festival, bring you a pumpkin hunting maze at the Desert Fall Festival! A little different than a corn maze, this glowing maze hides pumpkin sculptures to find on your way through. Perfect for all ages and no tricks, just treats, enjoy this maze with your general admission cost. Enjoy the experience nightly from 8:30-11pm, open late September through early November. An annual and famous tradition, this 10 acre corn maze is worth revisiting every year! Hosted with their month-long fall festival, their hours vary based on the day. The farm is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, but opens weekdays at 1pm and weekends at 10am, all October. Military, veterans, law enforcement and firefighters may purchase discounted tickets in-person. The Field of Screams’ daytime Jekyll, Tolmachoff Farms’ 6 acre corn maze is family friendly and haunt-free before 7pm and features an engaging treasure hunt if solving the maze just isn’t enough for you.
An ultimate list wouldn’t be ultimate without including the corn mazes nearby! These are great options to take advantage of for fall break or just a weekend family getaway. Here are a few mazes worth exploring beyond Phoenix.
Just hours outside Phoenix, The Willis Farm has four fun maze options for your family! Choose the small or big maze and the kids’ or regular haunted maze. Closed on Sundays, these choices make the perfect stop for a fall getaway just outside of Phoenix with your family. Be one of the first to experience the annual corn maze and color run at The Willis Farm for a good cause in September. The haunted farm has limited admission times and dates, while the rest of the hours depend on which activities you’ll want to enjoy, so check out their website for details, and be sure to check the weather before you go. With 3 difficulty levels, the Apple Annie’s Orchard corn maze near Phoenix, AZ is a great option for your family this year. This 12.5 acre maze is open daily, rain or shine! With a fun twist on their maze, Apple Annie’s Orchard starts you off with a passport full of questions that guide you through the maze as you answer them; perfect for keeping attention spans and keeping young minds working to solve their way through. If you need strollers, it’s recommended to bring your best all-terrain wheels as the maze floor is packed dirt and especially with any wet weather, you don’t want to be caught in the mud! Okay, so this one isn’t corn, but hay, it’s still a maze! The Deer Farm is a 10-acre animal park full of deer, wallabies, llamas, coatimundi, bison, peacocks and other animals any animal lover will love to watch (and feed!). Open daily 10 AM to 5 PM in the fall, the Deer Farm opens its hay maze in mid-late September and through October. The maze is included in your admission price to the park. The annual corn maze at this farm offers two difficulties (easy vs challenging) amid 10-foot corn stalks in a fun farming-inspired design. Explore it both in daytime and night from 7am to 7pm Monday through Thursday – don’t forget your flashlights! Admission varies by the date. Find ticket and full event details on their website here. A famous corn maze open during the month of October, Marana puts on their annual fall festival corn maze near their 50 acres of pumpkins. Local to southern Arizona just a short drive from Phoenix, this corn maze goes live only at night from 6pm to midnight (10pm on Sundays and Thursdays). This terrifying 8-foot wall corn maze has been an annual tradition made possible by a local family for 26 years in Arizona. One last hay bale maze to enjoy this season at Macdonald’s Ranch open every day except Tuesday, from 8am to 5pm. As part of their pumpkin patch, you can find your way through the hay bale maze included with admission and plenty more activities to enjoy at the ranch during October!
